The Challenge
TRAMARSA needed a solution that could provide comprehensive support for the operations of its empty container depots, both inside and outside the yard. Operations relied on multiple systems and manual processes to exchange information with customers, shipping lines, customs, and billing systems, increasing operational complexity and the risk of errors.
The challenge was to unify operations on a single platform that would improve shipment traceability, optimize operational management, and streamline integration with the existing logistics ecosystem.
The Solution
We implemented Baufest CDM (Container Depot Management), a platform designed to manage all operations within an empty container depot.
The solution includes modules for gate operations, yard management, container maintenance and repair (M&R), shipping line billing, supplier settlements, and communications monitoring. It also integrates with commercial, billing, customs, and shipping line systems using Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) standards, centralizing operations on a single platform.
